Voting Equipment

ICE OPTICAL SCAN

Whether you choose to early vote, go to your polling place on election day, or vote by mail, you will be given a paper ballot.

Once you have completed your ballot, the ballot will then be “fed” into the slot on top of the OPTICAL SCAN TABULATOR and your votes will be tallied.

If you are voting by a vote-by-mail ballot, you must return your voted ballot to the Columbia County Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day (per Florida Statute 101.67).  Then those voted ballots will be tabulated during the canvassing of the vote-by-mail ballots (per Florida Statute 101.68).
